BEHOLD...The inside of citrus.
Being as Cinco de Mayo just passed we had to celebrate with a margarita or two. We choose to make our own sweet and sour but feel free to use any kind available to you.
The Twin Table Margarita
3 oz homemade sweet and sour*
1 oz good tequila
1/2 oz triple sec
Place all ingredients in a coctail shaker with some ice. Shake for 20-30 seconds. Pour over more ice in you favorite margarita glass.
*Sweet and Sour
adapted from Chevy's Tex Mex Cookbook
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1 cup water
1 cup sugar (or Splenda)

Mix all ingredient together until sugar disolves.

ReplyDeleteHome made sweet and sour is so good, you will never go back to store bought. It is VERY fresh tasting and adds so much. But be warned you will be able to taste a store bought sweet and sour at a sip, even at restaurants!
